How to Protect Your Home From Your Pets

Most pets leave hair behind no matter where they go.  This is one of the most annoying things that we will have to deal with when it comes to having pets.  You will find that you can do a few things to make this problem a little easier.

The first thing is to use sheets over the areas where your animal sits.  You may also want to get them a pet bed that you can use in the room so that they stay off of the furniture more.

You can also use lint rollers and take them over the areas that the animal has been to remove the unwanted pet hair and make the area clean for the humans to sit down.  If you do this once a day, you should be able to keep up with the pet dander and air.  An air purifier is also a great choice when you have any animal living inside the home.  This will make the air cleaner and remove any odors as well.

If you have an animal that likes to go crazy when you are away, you can try putting them in one room or secluded area like the garage while you are away.  This will help to protect the rest of your home while they are unsupervised.  Do not forget to give your animals treats when they are behaving.  Reward them for the good that they do so that they will understand that they are doing something good and they will remember that in the future.

If your animal like the dog or cat has accidents in the home and needs some help with training, you can find doggy or kitty diapers to use while they are still learning.  This will help eliminate the amount of “accidents” you are cleaning up.

The worst thing is to have a dog do is to jump up on you or people when they enter your home.If you raise your knee in to the dogs chest as he or she jumps the dog will soon learn not to do it.
